Managing Director Alexander Trautmann proudly accepted the coveted trophy for DKV Euro Service. For the second time in a row, the DKV Card finished ahead of all its rivals
The award is a compliment I'm pleased to accept on behalf of DKV Euro Service", said Alexander Trautmann on receiving the award in Munich on Thursday evening. "Receiving the Image Award for the second time in a row confirms that we're on the right track and that customers are rewarding us for the quality of our products." The market research institute TNS Emnid conducted a survey amongst 400 management staff for 'Verkehrsrundschau' on the image of 99 brands relevant to the German commercial vehicle sector. Overall, the DKV Card came fifth behind Michelin, Mercedes LKW, MAN and Mercedes Transporter. Real freedom Presenting the awards, Dr. Johannes Offergeld said in his speech: "Being able to use DKV's service card in 40 different countries offers real freedom." The DKV Card was extremely versatile, offering a method of payment backed by a good name. The usage value the card offered was the deciding factor behind its popularity and level of acceptance. With a recognition level of around 96 per cent, the DKV Card once again came top in the overall ranking. The fuel and service card offered by the Düsseldorf-based company therefore remains the most popular fuel card in Germany's transport and logistics sector, summed up 'Verkehrsrundschau' in its latest issue. Accepting the second Image Award on behalf of the management, Alexander Trautmann also saw it as an incentive for DKV: "Once again, we would like to use this coveted award as an opportunity to continue to expand our range of services and customer focus in a manner that is of optimum benefit to our customers' day-to-day operations".
DVK now offers online ordering of electronic Eurovignettes DKV now offers online ordering of electronic Eurovignettes. An electronic Eurovignette has been introduced for the Benelux, Denmark and Sweden, which became operational by 1 October. It applies to motor vehicles of 12 tons and up that make use of the motorways in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Denmark and Sweden. The electronic Eurovignette does not apply to buses.
As a customer of DKV Euro Service you can order Eurovignettes straight from DKV, as usual. Apart from ordering by telephone or fax you can also place your orders online via your confidential customer section to obtain legitimate access to these toll roads. All these ordering possibilities also apply to vehicles that do not have their own DKV Card. What you must do in such a case is state a DKV Card by which you wish to arrange payment. Another option that remains is to pay your vignettes with your DKV Card at the usual issuing points. At these familiar points (fuel stations) you can pay with your DKV Card for electronic Eurovignettes with terms of validity of a day, week, month or year. Please consult the DKV homepage for a list of sales points. Also, when ordering via DKV you will as a customer receive by post, and in good time before your electronic vignette expires, an automatic notification of expiry of each vignette. This implies that DKV assumes your complete vignette control for you, free of charge. Your DKV-invoice contains all information and specifications conveniently arranged, so you can process all your toll data in a simple and orderly way. Easier procedure The new October 2008 electronic Eurovignette replaces the paper Eurovignette system and it contains all required electronic data in a digital form. As a result, drivers no longer need to carry paper evidence in their vehicles any more. Motorway checks are performed electronically en route by mobile units on the basis of the vehicle registration number. In this way it is instantly found out if toll has duly been paid for the vehicle concerned. Any violations are punished by way of fines and additional payments. Paper Eurovignettes issued until the end of September 2008 will remain valid until the expiry date printed on the vignette, so possibly long after the new electronic system was introduced. So long these vignettes must remain visibly displayed in the cabin of the vehicle.
