Wandsworth Council seeks public views on a new transport plan for the borough
Local Implementation Plan proposes a raft of improvements to the borough's road network and transport interchanges

Wandsworth Council is seeking the public views on the council's transport objectives, targets and potential transport improvements up to 2014.

The borough's Local Implementation Plan (LIP), sets out how the council will play its role in helping deliver the Mayor of London's transport strategy from next year onwards.

The plan, which could lead to investment of around £10m in local transport facilities by 2014, proposes a raft of improvements to the borough's road network and transport interchanges, spending on road safety and cycle training, plus additional support for Wandsworth's burgeoning car club membership.

The council will be seeking to proceed with projects that deliver the best value for money and offer the widest possible benefits to the travelling public.
