The old station building has been modernised by enhancing its original features to create a more spacious booking hall and ticket office. A brand new accessible toilet has now been installed. A new ramp has been installed on the car park side of the station making it much easier for all passengers to access the platform. The station has also been repainted and new signs have been installed in compliance with modern standards for visually impaired passengers. The joint improvement scheme was by South West Trains working in partnership with the Department for Transport, London Borough of Hounslow and Network Rail. Andy Pitt, Managing Director for South West Trains said: "Despite the tough economic times, we recognise the importance of stations in providing a gateway to our train services, and we remain committed to invest over £50m in our stations over the duration of the franchise."
