Transport for Greater Manchester plans £8m passenger information hub
An online prior information notice outlined the £8 million project, where TfGM said it is looking for a vendor to provide it with a ‘dynamic road network efficiency and travel information system solution’.
The tool will integrate bus, road, rail, Metrolink, cycling and other relevant forms of data, into a dynamic information entity. This will support operational network management and present passengers with information, which will hopefully help TfGM with traffic management, disruptions and incidents on the network.
TfGM has said that it will start awarding contracts before the end of the year, if it decides to proceed with the procurement.
